Final Portfolio - Process update

For the final project, my concept focuses on this "unspoken secret" here in the city of Gainesville. The Westside of Gainesville is this thriving and constantly growing place while the Eastside is ideally falling apart and getting left behind. So my daughter Leena in the photos below is symbolizing the truth and so she plays the role of going to these different sites from both parts of town to show (through imagery) what the reality is. The photos also allude to other ideas of corruption, secrecy, power, and injustice.  I was mainly inspired by the work of Harry Callahan who has many photographs of his wife and child but they're hidden in some form. Callahan has an interesting way of abstracting his subjects within the composition.
