Great job with creating interesting compositions with great tonal range (brightness and contrast). You edited them very well and made some successful experimental images. The most successful are the first, second, fifth, sixth, and seventh. The first and second are interesting in that they are on UF campus, but you’ve composed it so that that is no longer obvious, which makes it successful. Excellent framing in the first image with the statues and the surrounding leaves. The image itself feels very uncanny, and has narrative potential.
The close-up portrait is nice—think of ways you can utilize that empty space behind the subject to create a more compelling image. The image of the feet running down the steps is super narrative and dynamic—keep pushing yourself to make images that have this level of narrative strength. The panning shot is interesting—keep working on getting the subject closer in focus. Avoid taking photos of things we are already familiar with—its really easy to make boring photos of flowers/people. Your strongest images are the ones that push past those conventions. Overall, great job and keep experimenting and thinking of ways to push the narrative potential of your images.
